"Let's talk of a system that transforms all the social organisms into a work of art, in which the entire process of work is included... something in which the principle of production and consumption takes on a form of quality. It's a Gigantic project." German theorist and artist, Joseph Beuys
This exhibition explores how art can play a crucial role in identifying and illustrating social issues, and also in providing, creative, and oftentimes concrete, solutions. Issues such as global warming, sustainable local agriculture, transnational industry, fair trade, social justice and youth empowerment provide the broad foundation for this discussion.
This group exhibition features work by April Banks, Sergio De La Torre & Vicky Funari, Suzanne Husky, Laura Parker, Favianna Rodriguez, James Reed and Banker White.
